The First Saturday Tour of Bulverde Oaks Nature Preserve is canceled for November 4, 2017. We invite you all to join Green Spaces Alliance staff, volunteers and others at our Fun fundraising event, SA Flow Fest, at Hemisfair Park’s Yanaguana Garden that day. It will begin with a 5K/3K run, and will follow with tree adoptions by Parks & Rec, pop up yoga, music, face painting, live animals, food trucks & fun! JOIN US at FLOW FESThttp://www.saflowfest.com 10am – 3pm

Open to the public! Join us for a nature tour on the 1-mile out-and-back trail to see the rescue bee hives, pollinator meadow, bird blind, stock pond, wildlife, and share with you why we conserve land. We host a public tour every 1st Saturday of the month. Each month brings new sights, sounds, scents, and learning experiences! Learn more about Bulverde Oaks Nature Preserve.

Bulverde Oaks Preserve

Guided trail tour will begin around 9:15am. Bring your friends and family! No pets please, to nurture the wildlife that call Bulverde Oaks home.

Bulverde Oaks Nature Preserve is located at the NW corner of Judson Road and Loop 1604 — headed north on Judson road, continue underneath Loop 1604. Bulverde Oaks will be on your left. Look for cars parked on the side of the road. If you reach the gated quarry entrance, you’ve gone too far!

Please register to reserve your spot now – we limit our group sizes to 20 to ensure everyone can participate/hear/see on the narrow trail during the nature tour.

We appreciate your support for Green Spaces Alliance’s mission with a suggested donation of $5/person or $8/family at the event.

Nestled between a major highway and limestone and concrete industries lies an unlikely peaceful oasis. Bulverde Oaks Nature Preserve, gifted in 2010, is owned and managed by Green Spaces Alliance. This 31-acre patchwork of nature is a sanctuary for local wildlife and native plants. It sits over the Artesian Zone of the Edwards Aquifer and drains directly into the Recharge Zone, and more than 50% of the parcel is within the 100-yr floodplain. These features make Bulverde Oaks Nature Preserve especially valuable to local land conservation efforts.  Learn more about Bulverde Oaks Nature Preserve here: greensatx.org/bulverde-oaks/
