Join with Green Spaces Alliance as we host a series of 4 gardening workshops in the beginning of 2018. The workshops are tailored to the needs of people who want to learn how to garden San Antonio style, and for those who are looking for a refresher course. Each event will be held at different community gardens in the Green Spaces garden network. Each garden is unique. This will give participants different perspectives and ideas as they enter into the new gardening year.

We will be giving away watering wands, moisture meters, and plants at the events, so don’t miss out!

If you do not wish to register online (preferred), call Jerry Hess at (210)222-8430 ext. 310 during business hours, or mail a check to Green Spaces Alliance, 108 E. Mistletoe Avenue, San Antonio, TX 78212.

The Terrell Heights Community Garden is where the cycle of life happens. Join Green Spaces and our partners Allen Hamilton and The Compost Queens as they give lessons on composting and the Japanese style of composting called Bokashi. With composting is the ability to feed plants using compost tea. Our partner from the Bexar County Master Gardeners will teach us about beneficial insects and how to not harm them when you control the bad guys. Your hands-on experience this day will focus on putting vermicompost and Bokashi in beds as well as mixing compost teas and applying beneficial nematodes.

This workshop qualifies for SAWS WaterSaver Rewards.
