The Compost Queens will be demonstrating the bokashi composting system used in their food waste pickup service.

At this workshop, you’ll learn about how this composting method:

  • Turns all of your food scraps back into nutrient-rich soil in a fraction of the time compared to traditional composting
  • Diverts food from landfills
  • Has no bad smell
  • No pests
  • Able to compost dairy, breakable bones, paper towels and paper plates, and even breaks down pesticides!

Participants will receive a starter kit to try Compost Queens service for a free 2 week trial.

If you have a portable lawn/camp chair, please bring it! The garden will not be able to provide seating for everyone.

The workshop is free and open to the public, but limited to the first 25 participants who register, so sign up today!
