Join with Green Spaces Alliance as we host a series of 4 gardening workshops in the beginning of 2018. The workshops are tailored to the needs of people who want to learn how to garden San Antonio style, and for those who are looking for a refresher course. Each event will be held at different community gardens in the Green Spaces garden network. Each garden is unique. This will give participants different perspectives and ideas as they enter into the new gardening year.
We will be giving away watering wands, moisture meters, and plants at the events, so don’t miss out!
If you do not wish to register online (preferred), call Jerry Hess at (210)222-8430 ext. 310 during business hours, or mail a check to Green Spaces Alliance, 108 E. Mistletoe Avenue, San Antonio, TX 78212.
Come with us to another new network garden whose steward also happens to be a landscape designer. We’ll evaluate the garden site by bringing in elements of our previous workshop discussions. Our Master Gardener guest will show us when and how to harvest different crops. Let’s not forget about knowing how to collect and store seeds for the next growing season too!
Anne McCauley from the High Country Community Garden is our network “go to” person for herbs and microgreens. Anne will discuss how to add these elements to your beds and use them all year long in cooking, teas and more. Be prepared for some tasting and recipe sharing this day, so come with an appetite!
