    10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Note: Rescheduled from 9/23 to 9/30.

Participants will learn about popular garden based education models from Stephen Lucke of Gardopia Gardens. Each school participating will receive an educator’s “toolkit” courtesy of Green Spaces Alliance of South Texas.

The toolkit will include resources related to technical assistance as well as supplies for maintaining existing school gardens (i.e. organic fertilizer, hand watering wand, etc., valued at $75 each.)

In addition, educators and administration will learn about Green Spaces Alliance and its Gardens Network. Participants will be encouraged to join the Gardens Network and will be provided with a 20% discount for registering that day (Annual fee $35; with special discount: $28.)

When a school garden joins the network they will have the opportunity to receive additional funding, technical expertise, access tools from our lending library, and access a wide range of outreach and educational resources. When you join the network, you strengthen the network. When we work together we can achieve more. Let’s build a more vibrant food system in San Antonio!
