Picture Your World
Since 2002, Green Spaces Alliance’s Picture Your World Youth Photography Program has connected youth to the natural world with the camera lens. Through weekend workshops, outreach programming for Title 1 elementary schools, and a city-wide nature photography exhibition, Picture Your World encourages a creative approach to digital photography while advocating a personal connection to nature and promoting environmental stewardship among youth.
Green Spaces Alliance is pleased to showcase photos from the most recent 2020-2021 Picture Your World exhibition and recognize all the participants. The images of our Texas wildlife and flora enthusiastically captured by these youth illustrate why Green Spaces Alliance is dedicated to conserving our natural environment and promoting fellowship with the outdoors.
Green Spaces Alliance could not conduct the Picture Your World Weekend Workshops, provide programming outreach to our elementary school students, or host our spring nature exhibition without the support of our contributors whose commitment to our mission is deeply appreciated. In addition, we would like to thank this year’s Picture Your World juror, Dante Fenolio, for his thoughtful consideration of all entries.
Spring Nature Photography Exhibition
Let us show off the results! The photos of our Texas flora and wildlife enthusiastically captured in the Picture Your World spring exhibition illustrate why Green Spaces Alliance is dedicated to conserving the natural environment and engaging a diverse community in the enjoyment of the outdoors. The spring nature exhibition is city-wide and open to all youth ages 8-18. Every year, the invited juror selects 30 winning photos and award prizes in two age groups 8-12 and 13-18. Thanks to our community partners, Picture Your World exhibition photos are showcased all across San Antonio.
